Placement
CIM is a streamlined and efficient organisation, with short information and decision-making chains. Our approach is practical and solution-oriented.
It takes an average of six to nine months from your request for a CIM expert to his or her arrival at your organisation.
The steps from application to placement are:
- You describe your organisation, the position available, and the kind of person you are looking for on an application form, which you can obtain from GTZ Office in your country, the German embassy or directly from CIM.
- You fill out this form and submit it to CIM or GTZ Office.
- If the available position is in line with the development policy goals of the German Government, CIM then searches for qualified experts on your behalf and narrows down the number of candidates through a pre-selection process.
- You as employer then decide whom you wish to employ.
- Before leaving for his or her new job, each expert is prepared for the particular assignment through training in intercultural communication, the country’s history, geography and culture, and language courses.
- You help expedite immigration formalities before the expert arrives in your country.
- You enter into a local contract with the Integrated Expert, determining together the goals and responsibilities involved in the job.
