Candidate selection

We recruit experts on your behalf on the German or European labour market. We invite appropriate candidates to an interview. Following this pre-selection procedure, we propose one or two candidates to you. You then decide whether to employ the expert or not. You may also take part in the pre-selection process if you wish.

Duration of promotion

CIM places only long-term experts. As a rule, we support the local employment relationship for a period of two years. The minimum contract is for one year.  Contracts may be renewed for a maximum overall period of six years.

Time needed for placement

On average, it takes six to nine months from the date we receive your request for an expert to the day he or she begins work. How quickly your expert can begin depends on:
  • the availability of appropriate specialists on the German or European labour market
  • the expert’s particular circumstances (e.g. time required for notice at current job)
  • the amount of preparation needed for the assignment abroad (e.g. language course).

The Integrated Expert’s salary

You enter into a local employment contract with the Integrated Expert and pay him or her a salary that is reasonable by local standards. The amount should be commensurate with levels for comparable positions in your organisation. Benefits usually given to local employees should also be part of the CIM expert’s salary.

Profile of Integrated Experts

We set high standards for the Integrated Experts we recruit for you. They have:
  • completed their degree programme or professional training at their university or polytechnic and have at least three years of professional experience (Young Professionals may have less)
  • thorough knowledge of their professional field and sound competence in at least one of the languages commonly spoken in the host country
  • a high degree of sensitivity for the host culture and working procedures and pronounced intercultural skills.

Accommodation

You need not provide accommodation for your CIM expert. You should, however, be prepared to help out.
