Madagascar

Madagascar

Cooperation between Germany and Madagascar is currently concentrated in the development policy priority area agreed between them: environmental policy and protection and sustainable use of natural resources.

CIM first began cooperation with the island nation in 2003 with placement of two experts. The demand for German experts in Madagascar is great. One reason for this is the successful advisory services provided to Madagascar’s President by an integrated expert. CIM’s activities in Madagascar are being further expanded on the basis of the existing demand – in particular in the activity areas of good governance and decentralisation.

GIZ supports CIM in the implementation of its programmes on the ground. Close cooperation is planned in the development policy priority area.
