Argentina

Argentina is not a classical development cooperation country nor, since 2000, has it been a partner of German Development Cooperation. Because of Argentina’s great significance to the progress of development in neighbouring countries, however, the CIM programme was resumed in March 2005 at the wish of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The newly established programme concentrates on the following activity areas:

• renewable energy
• energy efficiency
• climate protection.

In implementing its programme on the ground, CIM cooperates closely with the German embassy and the GTZ Office.
