Honduras

CIM’s strategic activities in Honduras take place mainly in the development policy priority areas agreed between Honduras and Germany. These areas are:  

• education
• environmental policy, protection and sustainable use of natural resources
• economic reform and development of the market system.

Because of difficult institutional framework conditions, CIM has only a small programme in Honduras. It is working, in close conjunction with other German development cooperation institutions, to intensify future cooperation.

GTZ supports CIM in the implementation of its programmes on the ground and cooperates closely with CIM experts in, for example, the GTZ programmes:

• Promotion of Income and Employment (PROMYPE)
• Promotion of Sustainable Use of Natural Resources and Local Economic Development  (PRORENA).
