CIM’s strategic activities in Nepal are concentrated mainly in one of the three development policy priority areas agreed between Nepal and Germany: the health system and family planning.

In response to the request of partners with special development policy relevance, CIM has also placed an expert in the mountain regions of Nepal who, by working with the local population, has improved their income situation. Here CIM makes use of its scope to act outside development policy priority areas.  

GIZ supports CIM in the implementation of its programme on the ground and cooperates closely with CIM experts, for example, in the programmes

  • Promotion of the Health Sector
  • Poverty Reduction in Rural Regions of Nepal.
