Morocco

CIM’s strategic activities in Morocco take place mainly in the development policy priority areas agreed between Morocco and Germany. These areas are:

• economic reform and development of the market system
• environment policy, protection and use of natural resources  
• use and management of water resources.

Furthermore, in Morocco CIM is also addressing the German development cooperation cross-cutting topic health, family planning and HIV/AIDS.

GIZ supports CIM in implementing its programmes on the ground and cooperates closely with CIM experts.

With the Returning Experts Programme, CIM also supports, as it has for years, numerous Moroccan experts returning to Morocco after studying, undertaking vocational training or working in Germany. They work mainly

• as civil engineers
• in information technology
• in the agricultural sector.
