The German Federal Government’s Integration Commissioner estimates that there are around 20,000 diaspora organisations in Germany working to strengthen cultural cohesion and exchange through various non-profit activities. Many of these associations are also involved in projects in their countries of origin, thereby contributing actively to sustainable development at the local level. They facilitate the exchange of knowledge between their old and new homes, foster innovation and help improve living conditions for local people.
Send us your project idea!
On an annual basis, CIM issues calls for proposals to promote development projects carried out by diaspora organisations in their country of origin. Whatever your organisation wants to support – new education projects or the use of modern technology in your country of origin, training of teachers and specialist personnel, or providing information on themes such as HIV/AIDS, energy efficiency and environmental protection – you can submit your project proposal!
We can help you prepare your application, plan your project and locally implement your project idea.
